Peace and quiet in a Pennsylvania cabin

Long days with a harsh illness are coming to an end and my husband and I are on our way to our cabin vacation for the next week. A welcome few days of Pennsylvania autumn leaves, sunshine, minimal accommodations, and the calm company of my husband. No TV, no phones…We are taking a puzzle, will play cards, walk around the woods and the lake. He plans to fish. I plan to tat. A lot…which is the most relaxing thing I do. My work does not feel like “work”…the beauty of finding something you love to do and finding a way to make a from it.

I have a full drafting table upstairs of new work , 12 pairs of new earrings, 4 bracelets, a brooch, 2 pendants but I have no time to photo everything before I go so everyone will have to wait for their sneak peek at my new work until I get home. I have committed myself to another holiday show in November so craziness will settle in for the next couple of months when I return!

My Etsy shop, Snappy Tatter, will remain open while I am gone. Messages will be answered and orders shipped when I return next Friday.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

You will definitelly recover there. It sounds like a dream: nice hidden little house, silence (except your thoughts), spending quality time with your husband and taaattiiing!
