J Kohr Couture Designs

J Kohr Couture is my exclusive line of elaborately designed wearable fiber art. These statement pieces are one of a kind because of the nature of how they are created. I record the pattern or patterns of the elements but not the embellishing or the manner in which it is put together so the piece is only created in a particular way that one time. J Kohr Couture designs are the most labor intensive pieces of jewelry that I make, many taking days or even weeks to fully finish. Most have glass beading both tatted and hand sewn into the lace as well as glass pearls, Swarovski, Celestial and Czech crystals, Cubic Zirconias, semi-precious stones, Hematite, shell, Sterling Silver and wood.

J Kohr Couture currently available on Etsy

J Kohr Couture can be a sophisticated contemporary design or a wearable bouquet of leaves, flowers and butterflies. My own unique creativity and design skills are what makes my Couture line of jewelry and accessories stand apart from ordinary tatted jewelry. Also included in this collection are Watches and Cocktail Rings which can be found in other galleries on this site.

This page is dedicated to my J Kohr Couture line with a catalog of photos and links to the work in my Etsy shop. From time to time, I chat about the creative process in my Fresh Creations posts such as this one. http://snappytatter.com/2011/01/23/the-creation-of-the-winter-gala-statement-necklace/

I thank everyone for visiting. I hope you enjoy this body of work as these are personally my most beloved jewelry designs. I would love to hear your comments.

      • Jen I loved the necklace I recieved in the mail recently. I was looking on the Couture line and wondered what the price of Autumn Gala was? I just might put this on my birthday list. Thankyou. Barbara

        • Hello Barbara. My Couture line currently ranges from $80 to $210. It is priced based mainly on my time. All of the Couture is one of a kind. I can create another Autumn Gala but it would not be the same as the previous one. You can choose the sizing, color palette and degree of beading. Autumn Gala was my first Couture to sell and my pricing was different back then. If you are interested in a custom design, contact me and we can talk about colors, sizing and price range.

I am so glad you like your necklace!

  1. Ms. Kohr, I saw your Angel necklace on Pinterest and fell in love with it! I also needle tat and enjoy it immensely. I want to tat your Angel necklace for my granddaughter who has been extremely ill all this year. I think it would cheer her up immensely. Is the pattern for sale? Please let me know. Thank you so much. You do beautiful work.

    • Hello Nancy. Thank you for contacting me. I am so very sorry to hear about your granddaughter. I do not sell any of my patterns and all of my work is shuttle tatted. I can make the Angel necklace for you, if you want. I can make it in many colors with crystals or pearls or whatever she would like. I don’t sell any of my patterns yet because I still use them myself for my livelihood. I may produce a book some day when my wrists give out! Please let me know if you are interested in me making an Angel for your granddaughter. I do hope she gets better. You can reach me through my email jjskohr@gmail.com. Thank you for asking. Happy holidays.
