Happy New Year everyone!
Starting in 2012 my exclusive Snappy Tatter online coupons will be available to all Blog readers, Facebook fans and Twitter followers. It am trying to make it easier to access my monthly coupon other than the e-Newsletter that comes out each month. I will still be sending out the newsletter with ST updates but have decided to post the coupon here as well.
The main reason is that when someone subscribes to my Blog, I promise to sign them up for my e-Newsletter and consequently the coupon/discount. But depending on the reader’s settings, I am not always able to access their information to be able to do so. Some people subscribe in a stealth manner. And that is fine with me, I don’t like to blab my info all over the net either. Facebook and Twitter fans always have access to this discount also but if they miss the post or tweet, they may not be aware I have released the monthly discount.
So at the beginning of every month I will post the coupon, discount or sale information in a post that will go into the category “Coupons-Giveaways” under the “What’s New” menu to the left. All sale and coupon updates can be found there from now on.
For January the coupon code is SNAPPYNEWYEAR which allows everyone 20% off everything in my online shop, Snappy Tatter.
Visit my shop through the link above and add any items you would like to purchase to your cart. When you go to checkout there is a box on the main screen where you can enter the above code. The discount will automatically be applied to all items and you can continue to purchase as usual from there. If you forget, or miss the chance, or need help, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you would like to purchase outside of Etsy, email me and I will be happy to accommodate you.
FYI-the annual restructuring of my pricing will happen in February. Prices will be adjusted to reflect any changes in time, materials, packaging and shipping over the past year.
Thanks so much! I will be back soon with the latest happenings in Snappy Tatter-land!
Holiday shopping is in full force and my e-Newsletter came out today with an exclusive discount for email and Blog followers. The remaining days before Christmas I am offering 20% off 3 items or more in my Etsy Shop to my Subscribers and Free Priority Mail Upgrade for everyone from the 15th to the 21st.
There are two ways to get details on how to get 20% off now and future discounts and coupons, sign up to receive my e-Newsletter by hitting the “Count me in!” button at the left. (If you are signed in with your WordPress account, you may need to send me your email so I can add you to the list as I don’t always automatically get that information.) You can also send your email address to email@example.com and I will add your email address to my e-Newsletter family. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Every month I send the e-Newsletter out at the beginning of the month. I give a brief look into upcoming events, family and work life, shop updates and a discount or two for my online shop. Snappy Tatter followers are the first to find out about Give-Away contests too!
My second year at the Keystone Summit last week was wonderful. Now I am back. I have taken a day off, rested, had a bottle of wine, unpacked, counted inventory, re-stored everything and prepared all new work to be photographed and listed in my Etsy shop. I am still working hard! But I want all these listings to be up for the holiday which is coming way way too fast. My husband brought up the Christmas decorations yesterday and I about cried.
To all the new people I have met this past week and all the returning patrons from last year…Thank you Thank you Thank you!!! For making my show a great success. For being so kind and complimentary. And for spreading the love with your gift purchases for the holiday season. I hope everyone was happy with their Snappy Tatter experience and learned something new about the art of tatting and fiber art.
The top six pics are from Tuesday and the rest are from Friday. I took the experience of being there for two days as an opportunity to see what works best for the patrons. I wanted to know how they best connect with my work. By design? Or by Subcategories? Everyone seemed to have a better experience when all similar items were grouped together (on Friday). They were able to compare what they wanted and find what they were looking for with ease. I also grouped items together by style; Modern/casual, High Fashion, Floral, Fantasy, Holiday and Bugs.
As a final thought to new and future owner’s of Snappy Tatter fiber art: I always guarantee my work. I take pride in completing pieces in the most professional manner. If ever there is a question about cleaning, pressing, size, jewelry components, I am just a click away and always happy to help. The brochures that I handed out should be able to answer any questions on the care of your work on the last page. If you did not receive one, send me your address and I will be happy to email or snail mail it to you. And don’t forget, if your jewelry has Sterling components as most of my jewelry does, store it flat in a sealed plastic bag with the air pressed out to inhibit tarnish. Tarnish occurs because the Silver oxidizes with air so if you have a little moisture eater…like the kind that come in shoe boxes…toss one in. You will have to polish the silver very little. That’s a priceless little secret my Sterling findings supplier gave me.
Well, it is late and I am finishing Summit custom orders tomorrow, and trying to get more listings up on Etsy for everyone. And working on a custom order of 20 unique Snowflakes for an order due Monday. Busy does not explain it!
I post new listings to my Facebook Page and sometimes Twitter. So that’s a place to follow me if you would like to stay in the loop on what is new in my Etsy shop!

It’s Christmas in July in Snappy Tatter-land! I have been camping, designing and tatting through the week and haven’t had much time to Blog, Facebook etc. I have a new Couture choker I am working on. It will be named Goddess. I am hoping to have it finished by the end of the week. And I am working on a feathered wing design that is proving to be quite a challenge. I recently designed a Pink Ribbon pendant for my friend at the post office who is a cancer survivor and I will be posting a Pink Ribbon Pin on Etsy soon. I hope to drop in some photos of the the pendant later today or tomorrow.
We camped through last weekend in the woods of Raccoon Creek. We had a wonderful time. The weather was beautiful, we were away from everything and truly relaxed. We came home to a garden that had doubled in size, two lazy cats and a green, happy lizard. Soon we will have cucumbers and tomatoes by the pounds.
SNAPPY SHOP NEWS: Snappy Tatter on Etsy is having a Christmas in July sale. 25% off everything holiday related. For my Blog readers, subscribers and Facebook friends, this is in addition to the July coupons SNAPPYFIREWORKS, which takes 10% off everything or SNAPPYSHIPPING, which is free shipping on everything. The sale price is already adjusted on the items below so you can use either of the coupons at checkout for additional savings. Also-the last of my tatted butterfly applique is still 50% off with automatic free shipping. I have moved my butterfly applique to my sister shop JJBeads.
All of these items are found in my shop, Snappy Tatter. This sale will continue through all of July.
If you have any questions on how to use a coupon code when shopping through Etsy or would like to purchase outside of Etsy, drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I have a super busy day of filling weekend orders and working out my newest designs. I hope to have good pics for everyone later.
I am off to the woods again. Tomorrow we travel back down to Raccoon Creek for some R & R. Of course, I spend the time tatting. I have a new idea in my head I need to work out. I am thinking of a large wing. I think I keep getting inspired by all the crazy birds in my back yard. We have a Mulberry tree that is very large and very fruitful. So, during the summer we are bombed with birds in a feeding frenzy all morning and afternoon. So now I am thinking of a new pattern to try to develop. When the tent is up and the fire is burning I will sit with my old ratty ball of thread, shuttles, pen and paper and try to work out what is in my head. My hubbs will spend the time trying to start a fire with two sticks, making some kind of inedible pioneer food or carving silverware out of wood. He is very amusing. I look forward to this every year.
The new coupon codes are out for the month of July. This month is is my Subscriber’s choice…10% off everything or Free Shipping. Who doesn’t like to have options? If you would like these coupon codes for my Etsy shop, click the subscribe button or drop me a line with your email address…I will email you the new codes every month.
I hope everyone has a wonderful, fun and safe Fourth of July. I will post when I come back next week.
