Fresh work with a feminine style

While I wait for my sister-in-law to send me some great pics of our camping trip together I thought I would share some new work that is listed in my Etsy shop.

Apparently I was feeling very girly when I created these things as they are super feminine styles. Sometimes my work is glamorous, sometimes hardcore. My work changes with my mood and with the seasons. I am realizing more and more that I create in a variety of styles from whimsical to earthy to modern chic.

Many people don’t realize that I started as an artist that worked in Portraiture, Expressionism and Surrealism. Prismacolor pencils and charcoal were my favorite mediums although I frequently worked with pen and ink and graphite. Eventually I would like to photograph my work which is now very very old and create a gallery here. A lot of it is intense, strange and sometimes disturbing. It’s another dynamic to my brain that most don’t know about. I have a capacity, to this day, to be able to draw things exactly as I see them. Although I don’t draw for pleasure much anymore, I do work my ideas out in sketches before I begin creating a pattern and then diagram the finished design. My pattern book looks like it is filled with hieroglyphics! My embroidery is also drawn before it is created. Anyhoo-I digress.

Here is my newest work. Click the photos to be taken to full descriptions, price and photos. As always, anyone who would like to purchase directly through email or PayPal can drop me a line at jjskohr@embarmail.com.
