Medallion. A gorgeously ornate shuttle-tatted motif in jet black. The cordonnet I used is the heaviest I work with so the motif feels very substantial especially with the heavy stone beading. Graduated rings and short connected chains make up the design. Czech glass seed and fringe beads in dark gold enrich the edge. Hematite ovals and more gold seeds embellish the center along with one large Hematite round. The entire motif is attached to 9mm black satin ribbon. The Medallion measures 3″ across. The necklace is 16 1/2″ with a 2″ Sterling extender. Very stunning. I plan to make this pattern into a snowflake by adding rings.
